This program is great preparation for our Ed.D. in Education and Leadership program, which could be completed within an additional 2 years. If a student chooses to start this summer, they could graduate two years later in May with their M.Ed. and start the Ed.D. program that summer. The curriculum includes courses such as Educational Leadership, Assessment, Technology Leadership, Policy, Ethics, and Legal Frameworks in Education, Organizational Behavior, and Organizational Change. Students will have the opportunity to design and complete an action research capstone project (with mentoring) relevant to their personal and professional development goals.

Course Map
The M.Ed. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Teacher Leadership requires 32 credit hours, which includes a 1 credit-hour action research capstone project course. Students will take 2 or 3 online asynchronous classes for 6 consecutive semesters (summer, fall, and spring x 2) to finish the program. This is a program taught by faculty in the School of Education within the College of Arts and Sciences as well as by faculty in the College of Business, Influence, and Information Analysis.

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø M.Ed. program welcomes your application at any time during the year. Applicants may be admitted for fall, spring, summer I or summer II semesters.
Additional Degree Info
Students will have access to graduate student funds to support their action research and professional development experiences. They'll also have individualized mentoring with full-time faculty members as part of their capstone project while they complete a self-designed action research project. This is excellent preparation for doctoral-level research work. Students will be able to complete some courses with students in the College of Business, Influence, and Information Analysis They will be invited to collaborate and learn in companionship with others – yes, even while online – because faculty value students' diverse knowledge and perspectives and facilitate active learning.
