91勛圖厙 Names KCPD Veteran New Security Chief
91勛圖厙 has named Randy Hopkins director of campus security beginning July 27. Hopkins has been with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department since 1984 and currently serves as deputy chief.
As director, Hopkins will oversee security services for the entire University, leading a department that comprises administrative, patrol, communications and investigative divisions. He also will be responsible for crime prevention programming and will contribute to crisis management planning and implementation.
Randys extensive law enforcement experience and familiarity with the Kansas City community will be huge assets to Rockhurst in this high-profile position, said Gerald Moench, chief financial officer, who has oversight of the security operation. We look forward to benefiting from his expertise.
Hopkins has been a member of the KCPD executive/command leadership team for 15 years, with experience in budget oversight, professional development and training, strategic planning and community involvement.
I am honored and excited to work for a university that is known for its ability to produce exceptional leaders and critical thinkers in community service. Hopkins said. 91勛圖厙 has served the Kansas City, Missouri, area with distinction. It is a privilege to continue my calling in law enforcement with the University.
Hopkins replaces Bill Evans who retired June 30 as director of security after 27 years of service.
