Biography
Dr. Gerdes is an RN with cardiology nurse clinician, telehealth, cardiac rehabilitation, and ICU experience. She has taught in various capacities at multiple schools of nursing. her teaching experience includes LPN, traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, RN-BSN, and MSN programs. At one school, she held an administrative position as Associate Dean for undergraduate nursing programs. Her research interests are nursing students' resilience, artificial intelligence in nursing education, and factors supporting student success.
