Temporary rotating exhibitions in the Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project Space are typically 10-12 weeks long and are planned two to four years in advance.
Exhibition proposals are reviewed by the director of the Center for Arts and Letters together with the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Art on Campus Committee. Artists selected for consideration will be notified via email. A written exhibition contract will be sent to the artists chosen. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Will the gallery sell my work?
The Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project space will not handle the sale of any professional artist’s works while on temporary display on campus. Exhibiting artists, however, may include promotional materials about galleries that represent them and/or leave their personal contact information (website or email) so the public can purchase works accordingly.
When will the gallery be open to the public?
The Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project space is open to the public during the academic year with published regular hours. The gallery will be closed the week of Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Additional closings may be related to other on-day holidays during each calendar year.
Will there be opening receptions for my exhibition?
Opening receptions will typically occur on the first Friday of the exhibition's first day or first week.
Who handles the promotion of the exhibitions?
91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Center for Arts and Letters will coordinate news releases, promotional materials, online marketing, and publicity about exhibitions in the Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project Space.
Who handles the crating, shipping, and insurance?
Artists who do not live in range of delivering the works themselves to the gallery will need to arrange and pay for their own crating, shipping, and insurance to get the works to and from the gallery. Individual artists exhibiting in the Greenlease Gallery space must carry their own artwork insurance or sign a waiver to display in the space.
Do I need to install my work?
Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project Space staff will oversee the professional installation and de-installation of each exhibition in consultation with exhibiting artists. Artists creating a site-specific installation will oversee the installation of their own exhibition in tandem with gallery staff.
Do I need to provide labels?
Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project Space staff will design and create all interpretive panels and artwork labels for display during the run of the exhibition. All written texts and promotional materials will be shared with exhibiting artists before publishing/installing displays.
